Bands local to the Raleigh, NC venue The Maywood have banded together for one hell of a compilation titled Maywood Mayhem, Vol. 11. The compilation exists only to help raise funds to keep The Maywood, which has been closed for months, financially afloat during COVID-19.
The compilation was put together by Brenna Leath (Lightning Born, Crystal Spiders) and features notable North Carolina metal bands like old school death metallers Eldritch Horror, power metal favorites Mega-Colossus, Lightning Born (also featuring legendary Corrosion of Conformity bassist Mike Dean) and the acclaimed black metal unit Mo'ynoq.
