Holy riff sauce, Batman! Metal Injection is thrilled to unveil the exclusive full stream of Age Of The Solipsist, the new album by the technical Danish powerhouse Mother Of All.
Musically, this new record embodies Mother Of All's moniker with a wide range of styles, encompassing everything from traditional metal, to the more extreme end of the spectrum, with plenty of progressive meditations and jazzy time signatures.
Songs like "Autumn" sound like Human-era Death, crossed with melodic and cerebral elements of Opeth and Edge Of Sanity, whereas "At The Edge" steamrolls with an earth-rumbling groove that is nearly irresistible to listen to without breaking into air guitar. Plus, this record features the bouncy, meandering bass lines from the fretless master Steve Di Giorgio, (Testament, Sadus, Death) who recorded his contributions remotely.
Drummer and vocalist Martin Haumann is the chief composer of all the songs on Age Of The Solipsist. He offers this on Age Of The Solipsist.
“On the album, we explored musical boundaries and lyrically expressed relevant cultural issues through my warped and, at times, world-weary lens. Age Of The Solipsist is technically advanced and conceptually varied from song to song. We chose an unedited sound reminiscent of the less polished eras of metal. This choice helped us capture the organic touch of the musicians on their instruments; The virtuoso Steve Di Giorgio on bass, the incredible up-and-coming Frederik Jensen on guitar, and myself on drums and vocals.
I’m excited to share these songs with you. Enjoy the journey through the Age Of The Solipsist.”
Sit back, crank up the volume, and prepare to be bombarded with brainy riffs from Mother Of All! Age Of The Solipsist is available on June 11 via Black Lion Records.
