Mondays suck. Death metal doesn't. So let's start the week off by checking out a recently-released death metal album. And if you need more, check out all the previous editions of Death Metal Monday here.
If you're looking for some slamming death metal in the vein of bands like Deeds Of Flesh and Disgorge, you're going to need Prolong Anoxia in your life. Prolong Anoxia has been around since 2010, though only released their first EP Path of Repugnance in 2018 and finally their full-length Perpetual Murder this October. And given the comparisons, you'd be correct in assuming that this is purely vomit-inducing, slamming death metal.
When you're listening to Perpetual Murder, definitely look into the gory abyss of its cover. The art was done by Rudi Yanto of Gorgingsuicide, who said in an interview with And Justice For Art back in August that he felt it was the best visual representation of such a gross album.
"The band needed something dark, twisted, obscure… like something coming out of the nest, something that represents their musical concept. It's great to do this and I've also done some work for Rottrevore Records which will release the Prolong Anoxia album. It feels good to have done this for them."
