Everything About The LED ZEPPELIN Tribute Show Was Awesome (Except Kid Rock)

Before the holiday break, the godfathers of heavy metal, Led Zeppelin were bestowed a high honor with the US President Barack Obama presenting them with the Kennedy Center honors. At the presentation, Obama was in rare-form delivering a hilarious speech honoring the rock greats.

There was also a concert where bands came out and paid tribute to Zep with some great covers. Foo Fighters with frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins switching roles, performed "Rock 'N' Roll" and killed it. Then, Kid Rock had to come out and ruin everything by trying and failing to perform "Ramble On", followed by Lenny Kravitz giving a respectable performance of "Whole Lotta Love" and all capped off with Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, jamming with Zep drummer John Bonham's son, Jason and a massive choir delivering an incredibly powerful performance of "Stairway to Heaven." It all aired on TV, and of course the video is up on on Youtube now:

Watching this made me immediately go and listen to the entire Zep discography from beginning to end like Jack Black suggested. Not a bad idea at all.
