Destruction made history earlier this month, becoming the first band to perform live since quarantine kicked off in mid-March. It went down on Saturday, July 4th in Pratteln, Switzerland's Z7 club. Today, they have released a short doc on the experience.
The documentary notes that venue instructed fans to remain 1.5 meters (6 feet) apart. Every fan in attendance had to fill out a tracing form, so in case there is an outbreak, it's possible to contact everyone if there is an outbreak. There were marks on the floor for bars and bathrooms.
While the band advertised the show as socially distanced, and there were only 300 people in a 1,600 person venue, some of the crowd footage did not look very socially distanced and a lot of attendees were not wearing masks.
A fan interviewed noted that people kept their space, but then also revealed there was a mosh pit for "only" two minutes!!
With that said, Switzerland is doing only double digit cases per day, and none in the region where the show was held, so it looks like the show has not had a negative affect on coronavirus cases yet.
