Remember Black Tide? The band of youngsters who were supposed to take over the world? You don't?!
Black Tide broke thought when they got press for being the youngest band to buy onto play Ozzfest in 2007. The band were so young they weren't allowed to play the Jager stage so they were upgraded to opening the main stage.
I remember that Ozzfest, it was the one that was billed as being free. I also remember doing tons and tons of shots with Dååth before interviewing the band and I was incredibly drunk the Black Tide interview. Their manager was so excited we were interviewing them. I'm pretty sure it was their first interview, but then after the interview, he wasn't as enthusiastic. Maybe it's because I spent the entire interview asking the band if they drank on the tour:
Since that interview, the dude who only wore Bad Brains shirts left the band, and then they got a new guitarist. The band released another album, played some Mayhem Fests and then disappeared.
Now they have reemerged, except with only half the members they had before. It's just frontman Gabrielle Garcia and new(ish) guitarist Austin Diaz nowadays. What happened to the other two dudes? Maybe they weren't into this new music the band is doing…
