Let’s be very clear about this: Moms rule. They bring us into this world, they nurture us, they teach us right from wrong, they support us along the way in whatever our hopes and dreams may be. And, on occasion, they also…. stage dive? Well, for the mom of drummer Dave Witte of Municipal Waste, age ain't nothing but a number, because she's apparently a beast in the pit.
While jamming out at a gig at the House of Independents on December 6 in Asbury Park, NJ, Witte's mom got up on stage and started dancing along. Then, with the same kind of “pit or be damned” attitude that you’d expect from a 17-year-old—Witte's mom took the plunge right in. Not bad for someone in their seventies!
The whole seen caused quite a stir, and even put lead singer Tony Foresta into hysterics temporarily. Fortunately, the whole thing was caught on tape (like, how could it not, right?) You can check out Mama Witte’s righteous dive below.
Fortunately, Witte's mom landed safely …you know, as opposed to landing on top of the back bar, or worse (hey, it happens). But I think we can all agree that Witte's mom has taken supporting her son and his music to a whole new level!
Municipal Waste is currently on the road with High On Fire for a quick East Coast run that wraps up this weekend with shows in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida to close out the year.
