LAMB OF GOD Frontman Praises Viral Metal Sign Language Interpretor

Give this woman all the praise!

Give this woman all the praise!

Last month, we were very impressed with this sign language interpreter who really stepped up her game while trying to interpret Lamb of God in Austin, Texas.

If you somehow missed the original clip, it's worth watching. If you've seen it, it's worth watching again:

The story caught the attention of ABC News' Good Morning America, who profiled this interpreter. Her name is Lindsay Rothschild-Cross. Turns out she has hard rock and heavy metal in her blood. “I grew up with Guns N’ Roses and Alice in Chains and Iron Maiden, and things like that,” she said.

She tells ABC she had never interpreted "death metal" before – “At first, I was honestly very nervous because I had never interpreted death metal. The key is you have to impersonate the singer. The meaning of the song is a lot of anger. I just took on that feeling of someone that has hurt me before.”

ABC even got a quote from Blythe who offered praise for Rothschild-Cross. “I am always extremely pleased when I see sign language interpreters at our shows, and the show in Austin was no exception,” Blythe said. “That day, there were several interpreters taking turns — they were all working hard and doing a great job, but Lindsay’s interpretation of our performance stood out to me enough that I hopped down off the stage and sang beside her for a bit.”
