We've already called their previous collaboration the beginning of the apocalypse, but now maybe Avril Lavigne and husband Chad Kroeger of Nickelback have gone too far!
Yesterday, Avril released a music video for her dubstep meets Japop track "Hello Kitty" and it was taken down almost instantly…but not before one intrepid music fan happened to download and reupload it for our amusement. I mean…

No this is not metal, but this is hilarious and I figured we could all use a good laugh. A lot of complaints are being directed at Avril for her fetishism of Japanese culture and women (similar to critiques Gwen Stefani received), and not enough critiques about how god-awful this song is.
Some excellent headlines from around the internet bashing the track:
- Avril Lavigne Just Put Out The Most Cringeworthy Music Video Of The Year
- Avril Lavigne Must Be Stopped
- Avril Lavigne 'Hello Kitty' Video Is An Embarrassment In Any Language
- Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne Finally Wrote a Song So Awful that the Internet Has Collectively Rejected It
Thanks for the laugh, Avril and Chad!
