Can it be argued that no metal band enjoys playing live more than Metallica? It seems like lately, they will find any excuse to plug in and rock for fans, no matter the venue, big or small.
The band had already committed to performing at this year's Grammy Awards ceremony, happening Sunday, February 12, 2017 – but that's not the only performance they will give that not. Not content to simply perform one song, the band will then hop in a car and head over to the Hollywood Palladium for a full-on Metallica concert. The bad news? You need a Citi card to get in. Here's the band's official announcement:
We’re very excited to be a part of the Grammy Awards this year both as a nominee and a performer, so why should the fun end after the cameras stop rolling?!! As soon as the awards show is over on Sunday, February 12th, we’re going to shoot over to the iconic Hollywood Palladium to hit the stage one more time that evening as part of the “Citi Sound Vault” live music series. We’ll be playing the final night of five shows there including Sting, Beck and The Chainsmokers, all celebrating Grammy week.
