MEGADETH To Tour United States In February, But Not With LAMB OF GOD

Who do you want to see on the bill?

Who do you want to see on the bill?

Dave Mustaine is all about social media lately. He loves Periscope and Twitter (but not Twitter hearts) and has been slowly leaking some interesting information.

Megadeth, of course, have a highly anticipated new album called Dystopia coming January 22nd, 2016 and the band plan to tour the States in support of it. Everybody assumed, since both Megadeth and Lamb of God are promoting new albums, that they would tour together. It's already happening in the UK. But… during a recent Periscope stream, Mustaine said the tour will feature four bands, and Lamb of God won't be one of them:

"[I'm] really excited about coming back to the States and doing our North American tour there. The dates are coming along pretty well. And we've got three bands we're gonna be taking out with us there. Not completely sure about confirming all of them, but if they do confirm, the guys that I'm thinking about — no, it's not Lamb of God for North America — if those guys are on it, I think it's gonna be a cool, cool lineup."

So it's not Lamb of God. Does this mean Chris Adler won't be available for part of this tour? There is no way of telling just yet. Lamb of God's touring itinerary wraps up December 5th at Knotfest Mexico, so they have yet to reveal 2016 plans. Seeing as both bands share the same management, and their management likely knows there is huge appeal for Adler to play with Megadeth, I'd have to think that they are trying to route both bands' tours so there is as little conflict as possible.

Now we play the waiting game.
