About ten years ago, I really loathed Atreyu. The same way most people nowadays loathe Limp Bizkit or perhaps Attila. Their single "Right Side of the Bed" was in heavy rotation on MTV2 (when MTV2 still played music videos) and I couldn't take it.
In the years since, I've mellowed out about the band, although that song still gives me shivers. When I listened to their first single off this new comeback album, I was like okay whatever. But this new "heavier" single got me like "wait, do I like this?" But then the clean vocals kicked in and I remembered exactly why I'm not a fan. So it's not for me, but it might be for you…
