Randy Blythe Says New LAMB OF GOD Coming in Early 2015 with Lyrics He Wrote In Prison

Lamb of God are in the midst of a much-deserved hiatus but recently Randy Blythe checked in with a very positive update on the band's progress for new music. Blythe appeared on The Jamey Jasta Podcast and offered some very interesting morsels of info on the band's next album, getting arrested in the Czech Republic and his upcoming memoir.

On getting arrested in Prague:

“It was going to happen eventually. I caught the bullet, it was going to happen to you (Jamey Jasta), it was going to happen to the dude from Biohazard. Someone, it was going to happen to happen to somebody. I happened to catch the bullet.”

What he would do if we could go back in time to that show:

“If I could go back in time, the thing I would do different is I would have stopped the fucking show. But it was our first time there, we didn’t know what was going to happen if we stopped the show.”

On the subject matter of his upcoming memoir:

“Basically in starts the second I am arrested and it will finish at the end of the trial. It will tell day by day exactly what prison was like. Though the events at that story is just the framework that carries the book along and lets me talk about whatever I want to talk about because I go back and forth in time a lot.”

On the potential release date of the memoir and new Lamb of God music:

“I have been writing my book for a while but the majority of my book has been written since January. It will be released early part of next year along with the new Lamb of God record…I started writing lyrics for the next record in prison.”

That last sentence is enough for me to immediately need to hear this new music. While Blythe was in prison, I could only imagine the type of lyrics he came up with for new music. It looks like 2015 will be a big year for Lamb of God.
