In case it wasn't obvious enough already, legendary Black Metal heroes Immortal love winter. Like…they REALLY love it. If it doesn't involve frostbitten mountains in the north, they don't want anything to do with it. So in the spirit of that, I thought I'd collect a list of Immortal songs so that we may examine this matter further.
Alright, let's just get this out of the way. I actually took the time and calculated the percentage of Immortal songs that have some direct reference to winter (e.g. cold, frost, ice, storm) in their respective song titles. As it turns out, just over 30 percent of the band's song titles make such references. That's just the TITLES from their official albums!!! I'm sure somewhere in the other songs there's some reference to cold, white mountaintops or whatever.
Anyway, there are many things which make Immortal an awesome band, so here's to celebrating at least one of them.
