Lamb of God and Testament are wrapping up a month or so of touring, and during that time, Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe and Testament shredder and Louder Education host Alex Skolnick have been hanging out a lot, and during that time, they started jamming on some new tunes. But this isn't an old-school four-track jam, no…this is jamming 2.0.
It looks like the two are working on a new project using some sort of iPad recording program. Photographer Tom Couture posted these two videos of the dudes hangin' and jammin'.
I cannot for the life of me figure out what app they're using. If you can, leave a comment below.
No word on if the music they're working on will ever see the light of day. For his part, Skolnick is making it clear this is just a tour hobby:
Laid down a part for Randy's far out, experimental iPad music (tour hobby). I think he liked “@tomcouturephoto: http://t.co/v2jUZfDqiU”

Let's hope we get a chance to hear the fruit of their labor.
Update: We reached out to Sklonick directly who let us know what app they're playing with, and plans for release:
Cubasis for iPad. It's pretty "out," we'll see! “@metalinjection: What iPad app are u & Randy jamming on? Any plans 2 release the material?”

I found the below video tutorial on Cubasis to give you an idea of what they're using. Here's the link to download it off iTunes.
