KRIGSGRAV Extinguishes All Light With New Album The Sundering

FFO: Agalloch, Woods of Ypres,
early Katatonia, Dissection, and Dawn.

Krigsgrav

It's hot as hell outside, but all is dark and cold in the world of Krisgrav. The band draws inspiration from the blackened realms of bands like Agalloch and Dawn, which taking the more somber aspects of Katatonia and My Dying Bride to round things out. In short, there was simply no way we couldn't premiere their new album The Sundering – it's too good.

"This album is based around the dread of a natural event occurring and having no control, but trying to find the means to pull yourself together to get through it all," said vocalist and guitarist Justin Coleman. "It is about personal perseverance in the face of absolute crushing odds that should not allow it. Our lyrical content is almost consistently about our place in this world, and how finite and fragile our existence is."

The Sundering is out August 6. Both physical and digital pre-orders are available here.
