Metallica's famous 1991 self-titled album, better known as The Black Album, will get its own mini-documentary on AXS TV come October 9. In the meantime, you can watch a trailer below and maybe use it as a good excuse to get acquainted with the record at an exceptionally loud volume.
Metallica has set a few records over the years, which I'm sure will be covered in the mini-documentary. These records include being the album with the third-longest run on the Billboard 200 at 488 week, becoming the first album in the Nielsen SoundScan era to gain over 16 million sales, and was certified 16x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2012. People also will not stop buying the damn thing and it's really confusing drummer Lars Ulrich.
