Murderer Blames SLAYER For Forcing Him To Kill His Father

Interesting but sad…

Interesting but sad...

Leroy Smith III, 25, admitted to killing Leroy Smith Jr., 56, in May 2014 in the woods of Richmond, ME. He was indicted on a charge of intentional, knowing or depraved indifference murder.

On Jan. 5 of this year, Smith was at a competency hearing in Augusta when he blamed Slayer in part for what he had done and also said late guitarist for the group Jeff Hanneman killed himself because of this. According to CentralMaine.com:

"With my case, they're telling me that my story is delusional grandiose of proceedings that happened, and they're not investigating it. The fact of the matter [is that] in 2011 I had a gun pointed to my head and was sworn to keep secret of what I am. And they refused investigating any persons that are responsible. The whole entire music group Slayer was there. I was told then that what they did was too overboard. I sent them a message on Facebook and that Jeff Hanneman, the guitarist, takes his own life. He took his own life May 5 of 2013."

So how long will it take for the media to get a hold of this one? Between the mention of Slayer and, for some reason, the documentation that he was wearing a Slipknot shirt when he committed the crime, this is the Tipper Gore-type's wet dream. I really hope Smith gets the help he needs outside facing whatever justice he has to face- obviously the dude isn't all there in any capacity.
