"Stone Cold" Steve Austin Talks 10 Albums That Changed His Life; Loves 80s Heavy Metal

The fine folks at Metal Hammer have a new recurring feature about "10 albums that changed your life." They recently spoke to Stone Cold Steve Austin, a dude who knows a thing or two about heavy metal.

Truthfully, I was surprised how into metal Austin is. For example, when asked what one album he would recommend to a kid if they asked him what metal was he says Saxon's Wheels Of Steel.

“Man, you hand them something from Saxon! They never got enough credit, man! They’re badass! Biff always had the pipes, he could sing his ass off, and they have a badass guitarist, I loved his tone. I always wondered why they weren’t bigger than they were, because if you look at all the bands we’ve been talking about, they all love Saxon!”

Austin also believes the best workout album is Blackout by Scorpions as well as a few others:

“Ah, man, almost anything from AC/DC, Iron Maiden, a lot of Judas Priest. And Scorpions, too – Blackout!”

He also wants AC/DC's Highway To Hell to be played at his funeral:

“Ah man, I tell you what: AC/DC, Highway To Hell. I’ve never seen AC/DC live. Of course I would love to, though.”

Can Austin be any cooler? Check out his entire list here. And check out the few minutes we got to talk to Steve about metal last year at a WWE press event:
