Metallica are sorta like cowboys, right? James Hetfield likes to hunt. They like to smoke those weird cigarillos. And they come out on stage to the greatest western theme music ever written. So, should we be surprised that Metallica's first single, "Lux Æterna," off their 72 Seasons album out today (shush — it's good) sounds like pistolas afire in the tumbleweed when done in the style of country music? Of course, we shouldn't. But if you don't believe me, see for yourself in the video above.
Long-time parody video maker Andy Rehfedt takes the video from Metallica's recent performance of "Lux Aeterna" when the band swung by the set of the Jimmy Kimmel Show this week, then laid down on top some good ol' fashioned country comfort that even Miss Dolly Parton would approve of.
