Absence Of Despair brings the metalcore way hard with their brand new song "Bite My Tongue", which really should make every single listener at the very least think about moshing. Seriously, as someone who's been on a real kick lately with bands like Chimaira and Killswitch Engage, this one scratches the itch.
Bassist Rob Bryant said the video, shot by Matty LaBonte of Crown Media Collective, is a battle against anxiety.
"The main concept of the video is to not be taken over by anxiety, but to overcome, and breakthrough it. Crown Media Collective did a fantastic job on the video. They were able to purge the anxiety concept well with the static televisions placed around us."
Vocalist Joe Reynolds adds that the band's new album Desolate expands upon that positive idea presented in "Bite My Tongue".
“Desolate is focused on gaining the strength to look at obstacles in your life and overcome them. Each song represents a different side or emotion of a person and tells the story of what’s going through their head. At the end of the day, we want the listener to find meaning in themselves and the world around them.”
Absence Of Despair will release their new album Desolate on September 13. The record was mixed and mastered by Josh Schroeder (For The Fallen Dreams, King 810, The Color Morale) and pre-order here.
