THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA Flees Happiness In New Single "Watchtower"

"The idea of this song is about a person being intentionally difficult."

The Devil Wears Prada is back in 2022 with a brand new single "Watchtower" alongside a music video directed by Christopher Commons and Kate McFerren. The singles serves (so far) as a follow-up to The Devil Wears Prada's 2021 zombie-related EP ZII.

"The idea of this song is about a person being intentionally difficult even though happiness wants to find him/her," said vocalist Mike Hranica. "In handling my own mental health struggles, I've found that I oftentimes never choose contentment on a fundamental basis: almost like I've skipped Step One. The narrator of 'Watchtower' is afraid to approach Step One and instead flees to perceive his/her life as a sort of passive overlooker instead."

Stream "Watchtower" here and catch The Devil Wears Prada on tour with Beartooth, Silverstein, and Erra starting next month.
