Derek Smalls, the bassist of the most famous band that never was, will release his first solo effort Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing) on April 13. The album will feature members of Foo Fighters, Steely Dan, The Hungarian Studio Orchestra, Dweezil Zappa, Peter Frampton, Steve Vai, and a ton more, and you can hear Frampton and Smalls bring the southern-tinged rock with a new song called "It Don't Get Old" above. It's pretty much exactly the perfect mix of goofy and serious, and it kind of rules.
