Sitar + Prog Metal Fused Perfectly in MUTE THE SAINT Song "The Fall of Sirius"

You've never heard anything like it and it sounds great

By now, you have definitely heard of 19-year-old Indian sitar master Rishabh Seen. Rishabh has been making waves recently with sitar interpretations of tracks from Animals As Leaders and Meshuggah, but that was the first part of Rishabh's vision. He wanted to create a band that did something nobody has ever done before and that's combine Indian classical music and progressive metal.

He has created a new project, Mute The Saint, which he proudly claims is the first Indian classical progressive metal band as well as the first metal band to be led by an acoustic instrument (the fucking sitar). The band, which also features guitarist Josh Seguin (responsible for the mix + mastering), Jared Sandhy on drums, and Shashwat Kapoor on bass. Living in the digital world, these four band members never actually met in real life, and only talked and recorded over the internet.

The band is currently unsigned and seeking label representation. Mute The Saint's self-titled debut record will be released in February, 2016. If you dig the track, you can buy in on the band's Bandcamp page and add them on Facebook.
