Southern gothic champions Oceans of Slumber have released a brand new music video for the track "The Lighthouse." You can check it out above. About the track, vocalist Cammie Gilbert said:
“In true storytelling fashion, ‘The Lighthouse‘ evokes the frenzied emotions of the evangelical south’s dangerous religious leanings. Leading with an ominous gospel, ‘The Lighthouse‘ is a song as dark and atmospheric as the humid air that hangs heavy in our region.”
The song is the third third single from Oceans of Slumber's forthcoming LP, Starlight and Ash, which will be available July 22 via Century Media. The album's first single, “The Waters Rising,” was released back in February. With all of the singles so far, "The Lighthouse" is illustrative of what makes Oceans of Slumber so incredibly good at what they do, and then some. Gilbert’s vocal conviction rings throughout the somber yet spiritually uplifting song, while lush sonic landscapes provide color and context. In other words, you need to check this out today!
