GWAR Celebrates ODERUS URUNGUS & FLATTUS MAXIMUS With Battle Maximus Reissue

Oderus and Flattus forever.

Gwar has announced a reissue of their 2013 record Battle Maximus for September 1. The reissue is a tribute to both vocalist Dave "Oderus Urungus" Brockie and guitarist Cory "Flattus Maximus" Smoot, who passed away in 2014 and 2011 respectively. The reissue features a previously-unreleased bonus track "Tammy, Queen Of Dirt", and you can check out a remixed and remastered version of "Falling" above.

This new remix of Battle Maximus breathes new life into this album that demands to be considered as one of Gwar's greatest."

"Battle Maximus is an important Gwar album," added vocalist Berserker Blothar. "Recorded as a farewell to guitarist Flattus Maximus, this album was born out of straight pain. As the Scumdog warriors grieved the passing of their brother, they had no way of knowing they were also recording the last album with singer Oderus Urungus. Battle Maximus then, is on the cusp of the greatest challenge of Gwar's career. This version has been remixed and remastered and it sounds straight up viscous. I hope you relish it as much as I…"
