Despised Icon will be releasing its first new record in seven years, titled Beast, on July 22 via Nuclear Blast Records. The band had promised that the new album would be heavy and incorporate some serious death metal, and if the rest of the album is like this song, then that statement will hold true… because hot damn. This is heavy as fuck! I love the simple, crushing nature of the song that seems to let the drums and vocals do the majority of the work. It's violent, but somehow spacious.
