Dave Grohl is the man and nobody can tell me otherwise. Taking time out of his busy schedule, Grohl showed up for the annual Ride for Ronnie in Los Angeles this weekend – a charity event honoring Ronnie James Dio. The annual motorcycle ride starts at Harley Davidson of Glendale and goes to Los Encinos Park in Encino.
Encino was where the performances took place and Grohl joined Ricky Warwick (Thin Lizzy, Black Star Riders), Robbie Crane (Black Star Riders), and Keith Nelson (Buckcherry) to Motörhead’s “Bomber” (above) and Thin Lizzy’s “Jailbreak” (watch below). The event was a fundraiser for Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund, which supports research and early detection of prostate, colon and stomach cancers. The great Dio passed away in 2010 from stomach cancer.
