Converge will release their new collaborative album Bloodmoon: I on November 19, which features guitarists and vocalists Chelsea Wolfe, Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man), and Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe). You can check out the first single "Blood Moon" above.
The collaboration first kicked off in 2016 at Roadburn, where the seven-piece group performed revamped Converge material under the name Blood Moon. The collective then hit the studio in 2019 at Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou’s God City Studio in Salem, MA. The record was finished remotely due to the COVID pandemic, and now here we are listening to this haunting new single.
"The project stretched my vocals in new ways. It's so different than what I normally sing over that I was able to open up and be vulnerable with my vocals,” said Wolfe.
"Our dynamics are pushing and pulling in all different directions on this record, and I find that to be creatively rewarding," added Bannon.
