Children Of Bodom drummer Jaska Raatikainen, bassist Henri "Henkka T. Blacksmith" Seppälä, and keyboardist Janne Wirman have posted an extensive look at their photo exhibition from October 2022 at the Espoo Cultural Center in Espoo, Finland.
The exhibition was titled Strikes And Gutters, Ups And Downs and has since been moved to the band's Bodom Bar & Sauna also located in Espoo. Some of the photos are available to purchase here.
The trio recently announced they're working on a book chronicling the band's history. The book doesn't appear to have a name just yet, but you can sign up for future notifications regarding its release and pre-orders here.
"Since we stopped making music and suffered the tragic loss of our brother Alexi, we’ve been remembering so many great times that we had together," said Children Of Bodom in the description. "In 2023 it will be the thirty years since Alexi and Jaska formed a band, and the time is right for us to create a book which tells the story of Children Of Bodom in our own words and includes lots of photographs – many never published before – from our own collections.
"If you want to be a part of this Children Of Bodom project, please sign up. You won’t get any unwanted emails, but you will be kept informed about progress on how the book is shaping up and you’ll get access to special offers that will only be available to people who sign up here."
Children Of Bodom broke up in 2019 after one final show at the Helsinki Ice Hall. Seppälä, Wirman, and Raatikainen then departed Children Of Bodom, while frontman Alexi Laiho and guitarist Daniel Freyberg would go on to form Bodom After Midnight. Laiho would sadly pass away in 2020, marking the end of Children Of Bodom.
The remaining members of Children Of Bodom alongside Laiho's estate recently announced they're working on releasing the Helsinki Ice Hall show as a live album, and have previously sought fan-submitted photos. The trio responsible for the book also opened the Bodom Bar & Sauna on November 10, 2022. The establishment also includes a museum-type display of gear and memorabilia from throughout Children Of Bodom's lengthy career.
