Cast The Stone hasn't put out anything since their 2005 album Dark Winds Descending, but that changes on August 31. The band, featuring bassist Derek Engemann (China Girl, ex-Cattle Decapitation), drummer Jesse Schobel (Oracle, ex-Scour), guitarist Mark Kloeppel (Misery Index, Scour), and vocalist Andrew Huskey, will release a new EP called Empyrean Atrophy on August 31. This will also be Engemann's foray back into metal after leaving Cattle Decapitation earlier this year.
You can now check out the band's brand new song "The Burning Horizon" complete with Engemann playing bass to it with the ocean as a backdrop. It's also a bit of a long song, but hey – at least you have a cool bass to look at while you're listening.
