CABAL Doesn't Eschew A Very Positive World Outlook On "Blackened Soil"

"Blackened soil will bring no harvest, the pouring rain will gift no life, doomed are we all, the ones born to die."

Cabal's new album Mark Of Rot is out on February 23. The effort was produced, mixed, and mastered by Chris Kreutzfeldt, and we're premiering the band's brand new song and music video for "Blackened Soil" today. These Copenhagen, Denmark purveyors of heaviness state pretty clearly that the crushing track and hopeless-looking music video isn't exactly about sunshine and happiness, either.

Blackened Soil is a track that in a very dark way describes the feeling of hopelesness you sometimes get when you watch all of the horrible things the human race inflicts upon itself and all around it. A feeling of hopelessness so strong that erasing everything we've done seems like the only solution. Blackened soil will bring no harvest, the pouring rain will gift no life, doomed are we all, the ones born to die.

Pre-order Mark Of Rot here, which also features guest vocal spots from CJ McMahon (Thy Art Is Murder) and Filip Danielsson (Humanity’s Last Breath).
