Boris is now streaming their new single "Beyond Good And Evil." The single explores Hiroshima, the hometown of guitarist and vocalist Wata, being bombed by the United States on August 6, 1945 at the end of World War 2. Roughly 20,000 Japanese soldiers were killed by the bomb alongside somewhere between 70,000 and 126,000 citizens.
"There is a vast magnitude in a huge mushroom cloud and in decaying ruins," said Wata. "We feel both the sadness and beauty of these things at the same time; that is who we are. This video was made from the perspective of a mushroom cloud. The album W focuses on Wata's vocals – and she is from HIROSHIMA.”
W is out on January 21. Pre-orders are available here.
