Benighted is back with a brand new record named Ekbom due out April 12, and a brutal new single "Scars" streaming right now. The video was created by Kick Your Eye Productions and is pretty disgusting – those with a weak stomach, maybe skip it.
Ekbom draws inspiration from the nightmarish "Ekbom syndrome" which is rare neurological disorder, also known as Delusional Parasitosis, so expect nothing short of disturbing. Ekbom was recorded at Kohlekeller Studios with Kristian Kohlmannslehner and features Oliver Peters (Archspire) on "Nothing Left To Fear", as well as Xavier Chevalier (Blockheads) on "Fame Of The Grotesque". The cover for Ekbom was done by Grindesign (Rob Borbas), and you can pre-order it here.
You can also catch Benighted at a few (mostly French) dates leading up to their appearance at Hellfest.
