At The Gates' upcoming album To Drink From The Night Itself is shaping up to be both a callback to the band's early career as well as one that explores new grounds.
The band's new song "Daggers Of Black Haze" is much more the latter than the former. "Daggers Of Black Haze" kicks off as a slower, doom-heavy song but the right around 2:30 takes a hard left turn with acoustic guitars, cellos, and a seriously badass guitar solo that could've fit right in with any old In Flames records.
To Drink From The Night Itself is out May 18.
