Amorphis guitarist Tomi Koivusaari is back with his own solo project Bjørkø (which translates to "Birch Island") and it's heavy as hell. Bjørkø is now streaming its debut single "The Heartroot Rots" featuring the following lineup:
- Jeff Walker (Carcass) on vocals
- Tomi Koivusaari (Amorphis, Abhorrence) on guitar and background vocals
- Janne Lounatvuori on keyboards
- Lauri Porra (Stratovarius) on bass
- Waltteri Väyrynen (Opeth, Abhorrence, ex-Paradise Lost, ex-Bodom After Midnight) on drums
- Annea Lounatvuori on cello
