Murder folk pioneer Amigo The Devil has released the new track “Murder At The Bingo Hall” from his upcoming album Born Against. Amigo The Devil is the solo project of Danny Kiranos and employs tongue-in-cheek or satirical storytelling that ranges from humorous to heartbreaking. "Murder At The Bingo Hall" does not include any actual bloodshed, but tells the story of the narrators incessant winnings at Bingo night, his ink blotter being the "weapon" of choice. the catchy acoustic riffs build in tempo as the song progresses toward yet another inevitable win.
Kiranos comments: "I wanted to write a song about Bingo because everyone loves Bingo. If you don’t, that means you’re more grumpy than old grumpy ass people who play it….that says something. I wanted it to sound fast-paced and hectic while using minimal instrumentation. With only three players on it — Beau Bedford (keys/organ) Paul Grass (drums/percussion) and myself on guitar and vocals….and breathing?…I’d say the result is a lot bigger than the package it’s in."
Born Against will be released on April 16th via Liars Club/Regime Music Group. Pre-save it HERE.
