Earlier this week, Alice In Chains were the first artists to perform at "The Loupe," a brand new revolving glass floor instillation in the space needle. Footage from a local news report on the event has surfaced with a brief clip of the band's performance. That same day, the band threw out the first pitch at a Seattle Mariners game.
The entire performance will be broadcast on SiriusXM Friday, August 31 at 5 p.m. ET and PT on Lithium 34. More info here.
"The Loupe" is powered by 12 motors and offers 360-degree views over the largest city in the Pacific Northwest. The Space Needle has been a defining landmark of Seattle’s skyline since 1962 and The Loupe is part of its recent $100 million renovation.
The band's new album, Rainier Fog comes out Friday, August 24th. Hear some songs from the album here.
