Back in 2011, Wolves In The Throne Room released what would become its last installment of black metal. In 2014, the band followed up Celestial Lineage with Celestite, which was a synth-heavy ambient album that was meant to be a companion to Celestial Lineage.
Now in 2017, Wolves In The Throne Room is back with a new album called Thrice Woven, due out September 22. The trailer promises "a blazing and furious Black Metal epic" and the cover certainly looks evil enough. This will also be the band's first album with guitarist Kody Keyworth (Aldebaran, Ardour Loom).
