And now the legendary British black metallers are back, set to release their fourteenth album, From The Very Depths, on January 27 via Spinefarm Records.

There had been some talk online about the band finishing the record earlier this year, but we had no idea that it would have this kind of turn-around time with the release! Two months doesn't seem like a lot of time to promote, but hey.. it's fuckin' Venom!

Cronos, the band's bassist/vocalist and currently the only original member, had this to say about the album:

"This album is perfect, all three members are totally over-the-top confident with the new songs and the production. We had a great atmosphere in the studio while we were recording. Dante created pure thunder from his drums, while Rage tears the flesh off  your face with his riffs, making everything fall into place so well. It's a strong release and really shows the band maturing into an unstoppable force of pure Black Metal. We can't wait to play the new songs live for the Legions…Hell Yeah!"

According to the press release, "[From The Very Depths] is the heaviest Black Fuckin' Metal and is not for wimps." I hope they do not disappoint, because I just don't think I can handle that in my life right now.
