The Black Dahlia Murder will be headlining Summer Slaughter 2017, specifically playing its Nocturnal album front to back, though we're hoping as an encore they'll play some new stuff as well! The Black Dahlia Murder has previously announced that it's been in the studio recording a new album, and now Metal Blade has confirmed a little more information than we've had.
According to a press release, The Black Dahlia Murder will release its currently-untitled album this fall. The band recorded with its ex-bassist Ryan Williams at Augmented Audio, and vocals were tracked with Joe Cincotta at Full Force Studios. The album is currently being mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Aborted, Volbeat, etc.) at Hansen Studios in Demark, so here's hoping we'll get to hear some new music soon! Perhaps the band will play a new song this summer on the Summer Slaughter tour.
For now, you can make due with The Black Dahlia Murder frontman Trevor Strnad's monthly recommendation column here at Metal Injection, The Obituarist.
