TESSERACT Announce New Album and Mini UK Tour

Tesseract have decided to go a step further than One's 27-minute "Concealing Fate" suite, and just make the whole new album a solid 51-minute monster titled Altered State. Now we know the anatomy of it, the artwork, and when that monster is going to rear it's head. Oh, and then there's a mini tour.

Apparently the 51 minutes of music is split up into four movements, which are then split into sub-movements. As confusing as that sounds, it makes sense; an album with four songs that are all lengthy might drive some people away. The songs and movements are:

1. "Of Matter – Proxy"
2. "Of Matter – Retrospect"
3. "Of Matter – Resist"
4. "Of Mind – Nocturne"
5. "Of Mind – Exile"
6. "Of Reality – Eclipse"
7. "Of Reality – Palingenisis"
8. "Of Reality – Calabi-Yau"
9. "Of Energy – Singularity"
10. "Of Energy – Embers"

Seems like Tesseract still aren't fans of titling songs with more than one word. Regardless, I'm a sucker for an album that plays through as an album rather than a collection of songs, so I'll just tuck away the fifteen bucks for this now. Altered States is due out May 28th (or May 27th for all you UK folk) via Century Media Records, and if you're itching for a new track, head on back to our post containing the single "Nocturne"? The band have also announced a mini UK tour in May in support of the album. The dates are as follows-

5/11 – Takedown | Twenty Thirteen, Southampton Uni, Southampton, UK
5/12 – Corporation, Sheffield, UK
5/13 – Ivory Blacks, Glasgow, UK
5/14 – Roadhouse, Manchester, UK
5/15 – The Fleece, Bristol, UK
5/16 – Islington Academy, London, UK
