Spirit Adrift will release their new album Enlightened in Eternity on October 16. You've already seen the album artwork, but did you know there's a deeper story to it? Spirit Adrift has revealed the album artwork is actually a tribute to vocalist and instrumentalist Nate Garrett's dog Lizzy and drummer Marcus Bryant's dog Dawkins, both of whom passed away prior to the recording of Enlightened in Eternity.

"The glorious battle dogs depicted on the cover of Enlightened In Eternity are Marcus's boy Dawkins and Nate's girl Lizzy, who both departed this mortal coil before we entered the studio to record the new album," said the band.

"Fortunately, Adam Burke was able to memorialize them in his beautiful album art. If that wasn't enough, Dave at 20 Buck Spin helped put together vinyl variants representing the color scheme of each dog. Now more than ever it's important to find positive ways to work through tragedy. We miss our friends, but we're grateful we have such a fulfilling outlet through which to immortalize them."
