Pig Destroyer are making moves. A mere months after adding a bassist to the lineup for the first month ever, there are reports that the band will be releasing a new album in 2014.
Heavy Blog is Heavy was quick to notice in the February 2014 issue of Decibel Magazine, there is a Relapse Records ad that highlights releases for the coming year, and look who is on the page:
Don't get too excited though. MetalSucks contacted a Relapse Record rep who said while there are plans for a new PxDx release in 2014, nothing has yet been recorded and it's ultimately up to the band to finish the product, with the rep noting that the band was supposed to release a remixed and remastered version of Prowler in the Yard last year but that never came to fruition. Basically, the album will be out once Scott Hull deems it to be ready.
I guess you can't get too upset, seeing as though the band just released a new single for free, and if you're in the NYC area, they're playing Saint Vitus Bar this Saturday for a measly three bucks. RSVP here.
