Pallbearer exploded onto the scene in 2012 with their absolutely monolithic doom masterpiece Sorrow and Extinction. I guess doom doesn't really "explode" anywhere so much as it does "plod along and force you to love it," but this isn't a class in semantics and learning stuff is super lame anyway.
Anyway, I am excited because Pallbearer is back in the studio!
The band are currently holed up at Type Foundry Studio in Portland, OR with producer and engineer Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Melvins, Sleep, Swans) knocking out their next full-length! The press release doesn't give specifics given how early in the process this is, but apparently it'll be out later this year on Profound Lore Records. 2014 just got a thousand times slower.
