OVERKILL's Discography From 1995 to 2007 Will Be Released In One Box This Fall

With a little bit of bonus stuff.

With a little bit of bonus stuff.

So here's the cold, hard facts about this one- Nuclear Blast is releasing Historikill: 1995 – 2007 on September 18. The box set will feature 12 of Overkill's albums (everything from Wrecking Your Neck to Immortalis) in little mini-slipcases with a 13th disc in there containing four demos, two remixes, a tracking mix of a song and then a cover of Johnny Cash's "Man In Black."

Here's why this probably doesn't matter- if you're an Overkill fan, there's a good chance you own at least one of the 12 albums that are in this box set. There doesn't appear to be any bonus tracks on any of the CDs, so it's not like you're getting additional content in there per CD. You're getting one bonus CD that ultimately contains five songs you already know, two remixes that might be alright and a Johnny Cash cover. So why buy the box? Unless you're either a super die-hard fan or you're just getting into the band, this doesn't seem like it would be worth it.

Maybe Nuclear Blast will release the bonus disc as its own thing? That might make a little bit more sense… someone clue me in though. Is there something I missed here or would this be better off as a crazy vinyl box set?
