Update: According to ThePRP, Andy Sneap has denied working with Flynn on mixing and mastering the new album, and Colin Richardson will be handling mixing and mastering duties instead. Original article follows:
I'm not sure who we're writing about more when it comes to a new record- Slipknot or Machine Head.
Anyway, the latest on the still untitled Machine Head record is it will be out in October according to Robb Flynn. Also, they are getting studio legend Andy Sneap to mix and master the record right now.
Flynn was nice enough to let us know via goofy-ass picture on Instagram (below) with the caption "Chillin' with my man Andy Sneap putting the finishing touches on this mofo!!! #BackstageStudios #cowsaremetal."
So, we're not entirely sure to what degree the record is being "wrapped" up right now, but we do know that it's probably going to kick a pretty substantial amount of ass! Have you seen any of the studio updates?
Machine Head have just announced a fall tour with Children of Bodom, Epica and Battlecross. Get dates here.
