Looks Like QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Has New Material Coming This Week

Snake Building?

Queens Of The Stone Age

After six years of silence, it looks like we're getting new Queens Of The Stone Age this week. Queens Of The Stone Age started off their week by posting "It's our special week!" followed by a snake emoji and a building with three pillars emoji. Then today, the band returned with a full-on teaser for what looks like a music video captioned by "The World's Gonna End."

Furthermore, Queens Of The Stone Age has been adding snake animations to songs like "No One Knows" and "Little Sister" on their Spotify account, and has been doing the same to old music videos in their Instagram stories lately. So yeah, something is definitely slithering our way sometime very soon.

If you're looking for some major spoilers, head over to the band's subreddit. Rumors are that the new album is called In Times New Roman and is due out in June, and that it features guest spots from Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons. As of now, all of that is 100% conjecture and should be treated as only a rumor.

Last we heard about new Queens Of The Stone Age, guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen revealed in a 2022 interview that the band had some stuff up their sleeve.

Van Leeuwen said about the band's plans "there's stuff happening. I can't really go into what's happening. We'll see you sometime out there. There are some shows that are confirmed for next year."

Later in the same interview, Van Leeuwen is asked again about new Queens Of The Stone Age material. Van Leeuwen said "There's always stuff being kind of tossed around at all times with Queens. There are songs on the last record that [are] five or six years old, so there are songs that are still kicking around with that aesthetic that have been around for 10 years. Sometimes they take their own time to finish. You can't force them … All I can say is that there are some shows that are booked."
