How We End is the new group featuring guitarists Jen Majura (ex-Evanescence) and Tom Naumann (Primal Fear), vocalists Diva Satanica (ex-Nervosa) and Jake E (Cyhra, ex-Amaranthe), bassist Mitch Kunz, and drummer Adde Larsson. How We End will debut their first single "My Fighting Heart" on March 29 with a music video to follow the day after.

Evanescence parted ways with guitarist Jen Majura in 2022, who played with the band since 2015. Evanescence stated their love and support for Majura at the time, while Majura published her own statement saying her departure was not her own decision. In a separate interview, Majura said she originally thought her firing was a bad joke. Especially considering she had already begun to pack for the band's then-coming tour.

"Honestly, I was cleaning my apartment, and I got the phone call. And first of all, I was, like, 'Is this a bad joke?' And I remember, after I got the news, I hung up, and I have this hallway in between my studio and my living room, and I just lay there on the floor, staring at the ceiling, wondering what that was, and literally looking over to my suitcase that I had already started packing, because I was two weeks from going out on the road until pretty much the end of the year."

As for Satanica, her split with Nervosa in 2022 was a little less messy. Or at least that's how it seemed in Nervosa's statement upon Satanica's departure.

"Since September 2022 Nervosa was informed that Diva would leave the band, and since then she has carried out all activities with great professionalism and respect," said Nervosa in a statement. "The reason for her departure is because she chooses to invest more time in other projects and in her band. Since her decision, we entered into an agreement to comply with the Latin America tour and announce her departure later so that we could plan everything calmly and in time.

"We understand and support her decision. It's not easy for either party, but life is made of choices and decisions. So don't judge too harshly, because it's a very painful moment for both parties. All our respect to Diva, thank you for all her dedication and contribution. We wish you good luck on your new journey.
