Umbra Vitae, the band consisting of vocalist Jacob Bannon (Converge, Wear Your Wounds), guitarists Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord, Wear Your Wounds) and Sean Martin (Wear Your Wounds, Twitching Tongues), bassist Greg Weeks (The Red Chord, Labor Hex), and drummer Jon Rice (ex-Job for a Cowboy, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats), is hitting the studio soon enough for their sophomore record.

To make matters even heavier, Umbra Vitae will record their new material with Bannon's Converge bandmate and studio wizard Kurt Ballou. "Thank you to everyone who came out to see Umbra Vitae at Hopsmoker Festival," said Bannon. "Up next: Umbra Vitae will be recording our second album at GodCity Studio. Details soon."
